2ndCohort

Take your videos to the next level — with AI as your edge.

The Cutting Room is a small, hands-on cohort. You bring one real project and level it up with the exact AI system I use on client work — the way a real editor uses it, to sharpen your craft, not replace it. You leave with a finished piece that's yours, and a system you can run again.

Run by Avraham Kohn — 20 years in film & motion.

Let's be honest

You don't need another course to watch.

You can feel it. The tools are exploding, everyone's talking about AI, and you're either drowning in tutorials or quietly worried it's passing you by. Or you can already edit — you just can't figure out how to turn it into income.

I've been there. Mostly self-taught, twenty years in, folding AI into real paid work every week. And what I've learned is simple: watching one more thing won't move you. Someone sitting next to you — on your actual project, pulling you forward faster than you could alone — will.

The tools are the easy part. Taste is the whole game — knowing what'll actually make someone feel something. That's what these few weeks are really about.

What it is

A hands-on sprint built for the AI era of video.

Over about three weeks, you take one real project from a blank page to a finished piece — using the exact suite I run on client work: Claude, Google Flow, Suno, Adobe, AI voiceover, and more, all working together as one.

This isn't toy output. It's client-grade craft: the AI does the heavy lifting, your taste makes it yours, and I'm in your corner the whole way.

It's not a prompting course, and it's not a tool tour. It's a working system — put in your hands, on your own project.

How it runs

One project. Four live sessions.

The first two land close together to get you moving. Then the gaps widen — roughly 2, then 5, then 7 days — so you've got real time to build. And between every session, real back-and-forth on your actual work, so the momentum never drops.

Full system overview

Kickoff

I walk you through the entire system on real work — start to finish — so you see how the whole thing fits together. Then we lock in the project you'll each carry, and I put the full set of tools in your hands.

2

The workflow, hands-on

~2 days later

Now you build. We run the full chain end to end on a real piece — Claude, Flow, Suno and Adobe in one flow — then put your own rough cuts on the hot seat. Depth, not a tutorial.

3

Keep your human touch

~5 days later

Now we pull it back toward you. Take the AI edge off — grain, grade, sound, restraint — and keep your own voice in it.

4

Getting your work out there

~7 days later

The honest talk about pricing, positioning, and charging what you're worth. The payoff — real, and often the difference-maker.

Every session recorded — you never fall behind.
The schedule

Four sessions. Mark your calendar.

Every session is at 4 PM Eastern and runs one to two hours — it's live and hands-on, so I stay as long as the group needs; block up to two hours to be safe. All recorded, so you're covered if you miss one. (Israel time shifts an hour mid-run; Eastern stays put.)

Who it's for

Built for editors ready to level up — not start from zero.

The editor leveling up

You know Premiere at a base level and you're ready for more. You want AI fluency and work that actually looks good.

The self-taught creative

You can already make things — but turning it into paid work has never quite clicked. This is the bridge.

The pro who's plateaued

You're working, but you want to move faster and charge more. This gets you onto a new playing field.

It's not for total beginners who've never edited, or anyone who wants to watch instead of do. The pace is intense on purpose — it rewards people who show up and put the hours in.

The founding cohort

Don't take my word for it.

The first cohort was just two students. Both walked in unsure they could make anything at all — and both walked out with finished work they were proud of. One's already been paid for several jobs and is building toward a steady income; the cohort also helped land a dream job.

Every penny spent was a penny worth spending. Two weeks ago I thought I wouldn't be able to create anything — now I have something beautiful. I felt you were very invested in me.

— Nechama B., founding cohort

This is beyond cool, and I'm having a lot of fun. It's really crazy — incredible what you can create in so little time. I can't wait for the next session.

— Pessie W., founding cohort
The investment
$1,200for the full sprint
  • 4 live sessions — recorded, yours to keep.
  • Daily correspondence — real feedback on real work.
  • The complete setup — tools, links, a self-onboarding guide.
  • Your finished portfolio piece + get-paid plan.
Founding-era price. As the track record grows, it goes up — this is the lowest it will be. Seats are limited.
The math: one gig and it's paid for itself. That's the bar.

One honest note before you join: this only works if you can give it the hours over these few weeks. The gaps are built for exactly that. If your days are already full right now, wait for a cohort when they're not — you'll get far more out of it.

Meet the teacher

Hi, I'm Avraham.

I've spent close to twenty years in video, motion and editing — mostly self-taught — building brand films, campaigns and music videos for clients across the US, Israel and beyond. These days I fold AI into that work every single week.

I write The Cutting Corner, the honest version of this craft, and I run this cohort myself — small, because the whole point is that I'm actually in it with you.

This is my answer to the question I get asked constantly: "How do I actually use AI to make better work — and get paid for it?"

Hey, I'm Avraham 👋
A few questions
Do I need experience?
Yes — some. You should know the basics of editing and be comfortable in Premiere at a base level. After Effects is a plus. This is leveling up, not starting from scratch.
Do I need my own footage?
No. Bring a project, a past piece, a dream idea, or even a single image or product. We build from anything.
What tools, and what do they cost?
A handful — I hand you the full list and a setup guide as a PDF at the end of Session 1. Budget for a couple of months of subscriptions.
How much time does it take?
It's a sprint — plan for real hours across the few weeks. Recordings cover anything you miss live.
What if I fall behind?
Every session is recorded, and I'm reachable between sessions. You won't be left behind.
